The Role: Back-End Developer Intern
As a Back-End Developer Intern at HIRINGWORLD, you will work on the core functionality of our platform, ensuring seamless data flow, security, and performance. You will collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to build robust and scalable server-side solutions.
What You’ll be doing:
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using modern back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, or Java).
- Design and implement APIs for seamless communication between the front-end and back-end systems.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB to store and retrieve data efficiently.
- Implement security best practices to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities.
- Optimize back-end performance and scalability.
- Debug and troubleshoot server-side issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging back-end technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- API Development: Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Database Management: Design efficient database schemas and optimize queries.
- Security & Performance: Ensure robust authentication, authorization, and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to integrate features seamlessly.
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have:
- Basic knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Understanding of API development and integration.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols like OAuth and JWT.
- Passion for building scalable and efficient applications.
- Ability to work in a team and take initiative in solving challenges.
We strongly encourage those who have some experience with:
- Knowledge of the international job seeker/hiring marketplace
- RCIC experience
- Experience with working internationally
