Position Title: Social Services Intern

Duration: 3 months (flexible)

Our mission is to help individuals experiencing homelessness regain independence by providing them with housing and resources to overcome barriers. We believe in empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and become self-sufficient members of their communities.

Internship Description: As a Social Services Intern at Project Forward Inc., you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to support program participants in their journey towards independence. This hands-on internship will provide you with valuable experience in social services, community outreach, and nonprofit management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting intake assessments for new program participants
• Support case managers in developing individualized service plans
• Coordinate and facilitate group activities and workshops for program participants
• Assist in connecting participants with community resources and services
• Help organize and participate in community outreach events

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a social work, psychology, sociology, or related program
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic towards individuals facing challenges
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Passion for social justice and community empowerment
