About NHRC
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India is a Statutory public body constituted on 12 October 1993 under the Protection of Human Rights Ordinance of September 28, 1993. The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (PHRA), gave it a statutory basis.

What is the Eligibility Criteria for Internship in NHRC
Applications are invited from eligible students around the country. The eligibility and selection criteria will be as follows:-
- Students studying in the third and subsequent years of an integrated 5-year postgraduate degree.
- Students studying in the third/final year of their graduating course.
- Students in any semester or year of a post-graduate degree course.
- Students in any semester/year of any post-graduate diploma degree.
- Students who are research scholars in any discipline.
You must have regularly achieved a minimum of 60% in Class XII in all subsequent courses, including those currently undertaken.
The determined percentage must be explicitly stated from your CGPA/SGPA and the calculation for the percentage attained. Failure to accomplish one of them would result in the rejection of your application form.

What is the Duration of NHRC Internship
The NHRC Internship is held in September every year for the duration of 2-weeks. Last year, it was held from 17th to 30th September.
What are the Required Documents for Internship in NHRC
Applications missing the following requirements will be summarily rejected:
- Statement of Purpose (SoP): Applicants must submit a 250-word write-up on the topic ‘Statement of Purpose (SoP) for joining NHRC Online Short Term Internship’ along with the online application form, which will also be used as a basis of selection.
- Marksheets: Enclose self-attested scanned copies of mark sheets from 12th grade onwards, as well as mark sheets for each year/semester currently enrolled in the course.
- Recommendation Letter: A scanned recommendation letter/email from the HOD/Dean/Principal in the appended Proforma.
